2027 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Trim Levels
Jeep reshuffled the Grand Wagoneer lineup for 2027: one trim is new, two 2026 models are gone, and the Upland moves up from a package to a trim. Here is what each trim adds and how the 2027 lineup compares with the 2026 models still on lots.
Quick answer: The 2027 Jeep Grand Wagoneer comes in six trims: Grand Wagoneer, Limited, Upland, Overland, Summit and Summit Reserve. Overland is new and takes the place of the 2026 Limited Reserve, and the 2026 85th Anniversary Edition is gone. The Altitude and Obsidian packages carry over on select trims. Every trim keeps the same 420-hp, 468-lb-ft Hurricane inline-six and 8-speed automatic, with up to 10,000 lb of towing.

Trim by trim
- Grand Wagoneer: the entry trim, and the one that fills the spot the Wagoneer used to hold. It comes with the 12-in Uconnect 5 touchscreen, a 10.25-in digital gauge cluster, a 9-speaker Alpine audio system, Active Driving Assist and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go. A 360-degree camera was optional on lower trims for 2026.
- Limited: the next step up, offered with the Altitude package for 2026. Higher trims move to a 12.3-in digital cluster.
- Upland: the outdoors-leaning model. Jeep lists steel skid plates and tow hooks, and the 2026 Upland added Quadra-Lift air suspension with up to 10 in of off-road ground clearance, leather-trimmed seats and heated and ventilated front seats.
- Overland (new): adds air suspension, 22-in wheels and more comfort and capability hardware. It is not a one-for-one copy of the Limited Reserve it replaces, so compare window stickers if you're weighing the two.
- Summit: a luxury trim with the 23-speaker, 1,375-watt McIntosh MX1375 audio system, a larger head-up display and an available front passenger screen.
- Summit Reserve: the top of the line, with the same McIntosh MX1375 system and available front passenger screen.
Equipment varies by year, length and package. Ask us to confirm features on a specific vehicle.
Packages: Altitude, Obsidian and towing
- Altitude: an appearance package, offered on the Limited for 2026 and on select trims for 2027.
- Obsidian: an appearance package, offered on the Summit for 2026 and on select trims for 2027. The older Series II Obsidian and Series III Obsidian names ended after 2025.
- Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package: the 3.92 axle, trailer brake control, sway control, trailer light monitoring and a Class IV hitch. With 4x4, it takes towing to 10,000 lb on the regular length and 9,860 lb on the L.
- Rear entertainment: two available 10.1-in rear touchscreens with available Amazon Fire TV Built-In.
What's the same on every trim
- 3.0L Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six, 420 hp and 468 lb-ft, with an 8-speed automatic.
- Rear-wheel drive or 4x4, with Quadra-Trac I standard on 4x4 models and Quadra-Trac II with a 2.64:1 low range optional.
- Seven seats standard, eight with the optional second-row bench.
- Active Driving Assist, a hands-on system. Hands-free driving is not offered on any Grand Wagoneer trim.
Buying a 2026 or a 2027?
2027 Grand Wagoneers are already arriving at dealers, and some 2026 models are still on lots. A few differences worth weighing:
- Trims only in 2026: the Limited Reserve, with a 19-speaker McIntosh MX950 audio system, and the 85th Anniversary Edition.
- Trim only in 2027: the Overland.
- Highway mpg: 2027 EPA highway ratings are lower. A 2026 Grand Wagoneer 4x4 is rated 17 / 23 / 19 mpg; the 2027 4x4 is rated 17 / 21 / 18.
- Length: most 2027 trims come in regular and L lengths. The 2026 Upland package was regular length only, so confirm the length on any Upland you're considering. Compare the two sizes in our Grand Wagoneer vs Grand Wagoneer L guide.
