Elk Grove Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram · Charger Research
Same body, same cabin, same choice of two or four doors. What separates the gas Charger Sixpack from the electric Charger Daytona is how they make power, how you refuel them and how they sound. Here is the detail behind the choice.
| Sixpack R/T | Sixpack Scat Pack | Daytona Scat Pack | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Power source | 3.0L Hurricane twin-turbo I-6, Standard Output | 3.0L Hurricane twin-turbo I-6, High Output | Dual electric motors, 400-volt system |
| Horsepower | 420 hp | 550 hp | Up to 670 hp with PowerShot |
| Torque | 468 lb-ft | 531 lb-ft | 627 lb-ft |
| 0-60 mph* | 4.6 sec | 3.9 sec | 3.3 sec |
| Quarter mile* | 12.9 sec | 12.2 sec | 11.5 sec |
The Daytona's peak figure includes PowerShot, a button that adds 40 hp for 10 seconds. The Sixpack builds its power with boost instead: the R/T runs up to 22 psi and reaches full torque at 2,500 rpm, and the Scat Pack runs up to 30 psi. *Dodge estimates. For the full breakdown, see our Charger 0-60 and quarter-mile guide.
The Sixpack's numbers below are 2026 EPA ratings, because EPA had not posted 2027 Sixpack figures as of late October 2026. The Daytona's are 2027 EPA ratings, and they change with the rear tire size.
| Sixpack (2026 EPA, AWD) | City / hwy / combined | Fuel |
|---|---|---|
| R/T | 17 / 26 / 20 mpg | Regular |
| Scat Pack | 16 / 23 / 19 mpg | Premium |
| Daytona Scat Pack tires (2027 EPA) | Range | MPGe city / hwy / combined |
|---|---|---|
| 305/35ZR20 all around | 267 mi | 93 / 79 / 86 |
| 325/35ZR20 rear, all-season | 241 mi | 82 / 73 / 78 |
| 325/35ZR20 rear, performance | 231 mi | 80 / 70 / 75 |
If range matters more to you than grip, the car on 305-section tires all around is the one to look for. Ask us which tires are on a specific Daytona before you buy.
The Sixpack works like any gas car: a few minutes at the pump and you're done, which is hard to beat on a long run up I-5. Keep in mind the Scat Pack is rated on premium fuel, while the R/T runs on regular.
The Daytona fits best into a routine where it charges overnight. For most Elk Grove and Sacramento-area owners, that means a 240-volt Level 2 charger in the garage, so the car starts each day with a full battery and public charging is only for road trips. If you rent or park on the street, map out where you would charge before you commit. Your electric utility may also offer EV rate plans worth asking about.
The Sixpack sounds like what it is: a twin-turbo inline-6 with real exhaust. The Daytona has no engine, so Dodge fits every one with the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust to give the electric car a muscle-car sound of its own. Some drivers love it, some prefer the real thing. The only way to know which camp you are in is to drive both back to back.
| If you... | Consider |
|---|---|
| Can charge at home and drive mostly around the region | Daytona |
| Want the quickest Charger available today | Daytona Scat Pack |
| Take frequent long trips, like Highway 50 to Tahoe and back | Sixpack |
| Have no reliable place to charge | Sixpack |
| Want an engine sound you can feel, and a RWD mode | Sixpack |
Either way, you still choose between two and four doors. See our 2-door vs 4-door Charger guide.

Yes. The 2027 Daytona has a standard native NACS port and can charge at Tesla Superchargers. A J1772-to-NACS AC adapter is included.
It isn't required, but it is the easiest way to own one. A Level 2 charger at home lets the car charge overnight, so you rarely need public charging for daily driving.
Yes. AWD is standard on both. The Sixpack also has an on-demand RWD mode, and the Daytona uses one electric motor at each axle.
It makes a sound through the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, which is standard on the Daytona. The gas Sixpack uses a conventional exhaust from its twin-turbo inline-6.
